London: Harmsworth, 1901. Folio hardcover. Red buckram boards/leather spine. Volumes 1 & 2 bound into 1 volume. 716pgs in total. Maps. 'Illustrated mainly from photographs and authentic sketches taken in South Africa.' Board edges & cnrs are a little worn. Heavy surface rubbing to spine leather (much of colour worn off) & the beginnings of shallow splitting along spine edge & at spine heel (does not compromise firmness of binding).
